Coral (Eloise is what we call her) is my older sister and now lives in Clarksville Tennessee. Grew up in Sparta and wanted to join the Air Force when she got out of high school. At that time our dad did not think it was a good idea for her to be in the military. Thought the military should only be for men I guess. But he had to sign for her to join and he finally did after some fancy talking! She and my two brothers Roger and Harold Irish whom I have sent you photos of we were very proud of and are thankful that all three came safely home to us!

This is my Wonderful dad. His name is Thomas Gould. He is 75 years old. He was in the Korean War. He Served in the Army for many years. He also worked for the Corps of Engineers in Grand Haven Michigan. He has raised all of us 9 children. He now is retired for the last 6 years. Him and my mother live in Muskegon for 6 months out of the year. They are now in Haines City Florida until April. He and many other family members are my hero's. I thank them everyday for what they have done for me and our county.

Picture is of my fiance. He served a year in Iraq '10-'11 in the patient administration field. He has been in the Army reserves since 2004.

This is Orv Boerman who is a veteran of the Korean War. He currently resides in Byron Center Michigan. He was stationed in Germany during the war. Submitted by his Daughter Pam Gregorski

Served in the US Navy from 1958-1962 aboard the USS Mattabesset (AOG-52). Home port was Naples, Italy. This ship provided direct support to peacekeeping operations during the Lebanon Crisis of July 1958.

They had not been in touch for many years and happened to meet up at Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan. Photo taken in November 2008. Dan is a 2005 graduate from Rockford Public Schools. Ben is still active in the ARMY.

I was in the USAF from August 1988 until July 1995. After Basic, I attended the Department of Defense Information School at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana and subsequently Administration School at Keesler AFB, Mississippi. During my first 3 years enlisted, my job was as an Administration Specialist with the Peterson AFB Law Enforcement Squadron. My last 4 years were as a Graphic Designer with Air Force Space Command also based at Peterson AFB Colorado. I was Honorably discharged as an E4, Journeymen-Level Graphic Designer.

My son William Hovis he just finished A school to be a hospital corpman. He is home visiting for this veterans day and is reporting to his 1st duty station in the next week.

My husband, Clint Fowler of Norton Shores. Serviced in the United States Army, Infantry, from 1999 - 2007. Both ground wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, along with a second tour to Iraq in 2005. I am so thankful for his sacrifice and proud to not only call him my husband, but the father of our beautiful 3 month old daughter, Liah.

He served in World War 2. We are all so proud and miss him everyday. Love you Dad! Kelli, Dori and Bill

My husband, who is a 20 year Navy veteran. And now since he has been retired he has voluntary for a job in Iraq and Kuwait.

This is my husband Mark Cain from Nashville MI he was in the army for 18 years and now is currently in the Air Force he has a total of 26 years in service and plans on serving for many more

The Veteran I know is my Dad, Samuel David Magoon Jr. He served as a medic in the Vietnam war. He has been married to my Mom for almost 40 years and has 4 kids who love & respect him very much. Thank you so much!!!

Attached is a pic of my dearest best friend, Deborah Howell of Fremont. She joined the Army at 18 and served honorably as a photographer during the time of Desert Storm. She is currently a manager for Toys R Us in Muskegon and works harder than anyone I know. She thinks of everyone else before herself, and I would love for her to receive some special recognition on Veterans Day. Thank you!

SGT Keith W Cadle is a Military Police serving active duty. He has served a tour in Iraq. Keith and his wife Nessa have four children, Drake, Nashay, Daryan, and Aiden.
