M-104 Widening

Beginning in July, M-104 from 124th Avenue east to I96 will be widened. Traffic will be maintained, but may be reduced to one lane of traffic at times.

Lane closures for road repair will be in place tomorrow (Thursday) from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on northbound US-31 between M-45 (Lake Michigan Drive) and Ferris Street.

The work is weather dependent (no rain, cold temps, etc.)

New Beach Express bus service starts Saturday

New Beach Express bus service starts Saturday

Harbor Transit is pleased to announce that the new Beach Express bus service will start running on Saturday, June 9 beginning at 11AM. Beach goers will be able to pull into the lot located on Taylor Street just west of Beacon Boulevard and board the bus for a quick ten minute ride to the city beach.

“Now there's no more waiting in that long line on Harbor to see if you can get a spot to park at the city beach or state park, no more lugging all that stuff from your parking place out to the beach,” stated Transportation Director Tom Manderscheid.

Lane closures: M-104, Spring Lake, starting April 2

There will be shoulder closures and intermittent daytime lane closures for sidewalk work will be in place from Monday, April 2, through mid-May on M-104 (Savidge Street) from the Spring Lake Channel Bridge to Lake Avenue.

There also will be nighttime resurfacing work from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Friday.

As the winter turns to spring, more and more potholes start to appear throughout West Michigan. We would like you to tell us where the worst potholes can be found.
