Proposed millage would fund two new bike paths

FERRYSBURG, Mich.—Ferrysburg City Council members plan to work out the details of a proposed millage for two new bike trails Monday night.

Earlier this year, the city council approved putting the proposed millage on the ballot for the election November 5.  The property tax would be a half-mill over ten years.  Money generated by the millage would fund bike trails on North Shore Road from 174th Avenue to North Beach Park and 168th Avenue from Spring Lake Road to Van Wagoner Road.  Both bike paths would connect to already existing trails.

For more information about the proposed millage, pick up a brochure at the Ferrysburg City Hall front desk during regular business hours.
