Price to sponsor Grand Haven office hours

State Rep. Amanda Price will sponsor in-district office hours in Grand Haven on Friday, Nov. 16 to meet with local residents and discuss issues of interest or concern.

Price will be at Coffee Grounds, located at 41 Washington Ave. from 9 to 10 a.m. Residents are welcome to stop by as their schedules allow during that time, and appointments are not necessary.

Spring Lake, MI--What’s all this stuff on my ballot?  That is the question political pundit Kyle Melinn will discussing when he speaks at Spring Lake District Library on Mon., Oct. 15 at 7:00 p.m. Melinn will share his political expertise about the candidates and the ballot issues voters will be deciding this November. The event is free and the public is invited to attend.

Melinn is the News Editor for Michigan Information & Research Service, Inc. (MIRS). MIRS provides comprehensive news and analysis of Michigan state government online at www.mirsnews.com. Melinn is also a frequent guest on the PBS show Off the Record.

Ballot Issues Discussed at Spring Lake District Library

Spring Lake, MI - The Grand Haven Chapter of the League of Women Voters will be moderating a discussion of two of the upcoming ballot issues at Spring Lake District Library on Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 6:30 p.m. The two ballot issues that will be discussed are the referendum on Public Act 4 of 2011- the emergency manager law and the proposal to amend the state constitution regarding collective bargaining rights.

Speakers will include State Rep. Marcia Hovey-Wright, 92nd District, Wendy Block, Director of Health Policy and Human Resources at the Michigan Chamber of Commerce, and 89th District Rep. Amanda Price.
