Veterans Day Performance at Spring Lake District Library

Spring Lake MI--Spring Lake District Library will be hosting a live performance reminiscent of the radio shows of the 1940s in honor of Veteran’s Day on Fri., Nov. 11 at 2:00 p.m.  Back by popular demand, the readers’ theatre company Voice Activated will present A Veterans Day Observance which will feature several short performances honoring the generations of veterans who have served our country.

The Voice Activated performers transport their audiences back to yesteryear when radio shows were the entertainment of the day.  They rely on their animated voices, facial expressions, gestures, and the audience’s imagination to create their performance scenarios.

In addition to the performance, members of the Sgt. Alvin Jonker VFW Post 2326 Color Guard will present the colors, place the battlefield Cross and play “Taps.”
