Title (Max 100 Charaters)
HOLLAND, Mich. (WZZM) - Grand Haven's Doug Zelenka recorded a hat trick and Zach Kooi made 22 saves as the Bucs handed GR Catholic Central its first loss of the season, 3-2 at Holland Edge Ice Arena.
Grand Haven (13-4) opened the scoring late in the first period, after a Catholic Central clearing pass skipped off a glass partition and in front of the Cougar net. Zelenka jumped on the loose puck and beat a surprised Brett Avery for a power play goal.
Zelenka scored twice in the third as the Bucs built a 3-1 lead.
Jacob Klapko scored twice for Catholic Central in a losing effort.
The Bucs meet West Catholic on Saturday at Kentwood.
