No one hurt in Grand Haven house fire, cause unknown

GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (WZZM) -- No one was hurt in an overnight fire in Grand Haven on Monday. The department of public safety was called to the home on Pennoyer Ave. between Ferry St. and Albee St. just before 3 a.m.

Once on scene, officers encountered heavy smoke in the basement and back of the home. Crews were able to vent the flames through a basement window. The fire was quickly extinguished.

Grand Haven DPS was assisted by the Grand Haven Township Fire/Rescue Department.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
