OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich.—Winter is over, which means construction season is here.

Crews began work on more than 12 miles of U.S. 31 on Monday.  Workers are resurfacing  the southbound lanes, from Ferris Street to Quincy Street.

The project is expected to run through June.  Drivers can expect traffic slow-downs in the affected area.  Intermittent single-lane and shoulder closures are planned.  All lanes should be open from 6 a.m. Sunday to 9 a.m. Monday and weekdays from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.
