North Shore Road project proposal goes before City Council

FERRYSBURG, Mich.--- An engineer will present his proposed plans to resurface North Shore Road during Monday’s city council meeting.

Steve Groenenboom of Moore & Bruggink, Inc. will lead the presentation during the 7:30 p.m. meeting.  The city council may then decide whether to approve the project, which would be slated for 2015.

The work will involve resurfacing North Shore Road from around Coast Guard Park to North Beach Park.  Ferrysburg City Manager Craig Bessinger says the project will likely begin in either spring or fall, when tourism is dying down.  The work will likely take six to eight weeks and lead to one-lane closures on North Shore Road.
