Don't flush unwanted meds… instead, safely dispose of your personal medications at any of three (3) Ottawa County Health department offices that include:

Grand Haven Township: 16920 Ferris Street, 616-846-8360, M, W, F 8:00 a.m. to Noon and 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Holland Charter Township: 12252 James Street, 616-396-5266, M - F 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  

Hudsonville: 3100 Port Sheldon Road, 616-669-0040, M, W, F 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  

Please remove pills from the pill bottles and place them in a plastic bag before dropping them off at the Ottawa County Health Department of your choosing. If you have questions about the Ottawa County's unwanted medication collection program, please call 616-393-5645.

Qi Gong for Wellness in 2011

Qi Gong is an ancient Chinese healing system utilizing gentle rhythmic exercises and simple breathing techniques to optimize health and wellness. Guest speakers Irv Marcus and Lisa Lee of International Wellness Partners will explain how practicing Qi Gong can help you increase your energy, reduce stress, lose weight and promote wellness. Dr. Barber is a life-long Michigan resident, who has spent most of her career in the middle part of the state.

American Heart Association Family & Friends CPR

This program teaches how to perform CPR in adults, children, or infants and how to help an adult, child, or infant who is choking. It is perfect for Family members, friends and members of the general  community who want to learn CPR but do not need a course completion card. Anyone required by his or her employer or wishing to be credentialed as a lay responder may contact Spring Lake Fire Department  for more information.

Vegan Uncooking

GRAND HAVEN, Michigan – Socks Beachum from the Health Hutt wiil demonstrate and prepare the latest vegan recipes and techniques at the Loutit District Library on October 7 at 7:00 p.m. in Program Room A.
