Historical Pump House in Holland open for Tours each Month this Summer

Historical Pump House in Holland open for Tours each Month this Summer

History buffs will certainly to want to check out the Pump House in Holland, MI. located directly north of the US Coast Guard Station at 2388 Ottawa Beach Rd. The Pump House will be open to the public on the third Thursday of each month from 3 – 5pm beginning June 18. The following dates will be July 16, August 20 and September 17.

Free parking is available in both the Black Lake Boardwalk’s east and west parking lots at 2278 Black Lake Ave. and 2358 Ottawa Beach Rd.

Since the dedication of this building in May was so popular, the Historic Ottawa Beach Society (HOBS) and Ottawa County Parks decided to provide the public with more opportunities to view the interior of the historic Pump House building over the summer.

The art in the building will still be on the walls for guests to enjoy. The SOBS is working to set up a historical storyteller for the July through September dates.

Battle Creek Air Show and Balloon Festival July 1 - 5

Battle Creek Air Show and Balloon Festival July 1 - 5

Battle Creek will play host to the Air Force F-22 Raptor Demo team July 1-5, 2015. This is only 1 of 19 events during this time.

The Air Show will show the best of the best when civilian performers fill the sky July 3 – 5 with aerobatic maneuvers that make the fastest roll-a-coaster seem like a merry-go-round.

“Even more excitement has been added to this year’s Air Show,” stated Barbara Haluszka. “We are not only going to have pyro during the Night Air Show but during the actual Air Show itself,” she said. Spectators will love the explosions and the 750 ft. Wall of Fire!

Air Show at its best! Join us at the Battle Creek Field of Flight Air Show and Balloon Festival.
