Spring Lake, MI--With spring break just around the corner, now is the time to learn how to download e-books. Many books can be downloaded to one light, easy to carry e-reader, making e-books the perfect traveling companions. Spring Lake District Library will be offering a free class on Friday, March 15 at 2:30 p.m. to show those with iPads, Kindles, Nooks and tablets how to download e-books to their devices. Bring your e-reader to class and learn how to download free books from the library’s website. Pre-registration is requested. Register online at www.sllib.org or call 616.846.5770.

Not sure if the latest technology in e-readers is right for you? Spring Lake District Library has a variety of e-readers available for patrons to borrow, including iPads. The library’s iPads have numerous apps, websites, and e-books already loaded on them and are wi-fi compatible. Library patrons age 18 and older may check the iPads out for seven days with their library card and photo ID.

The iPads were purchased through funds provided by the Spring Lake District Library Endowment Fund at the Grand Haven Area Community Foundation.
