After School Chess Club for Kids @ SLDL | Events

Spring Lake, MI--If you’re a kid who loves to play chess, or think you would enjoy learning how to play, you’re invited to come to Spring Lake District Library and join the chess club. Chess club will next meet on Monday, Feb. 11, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Children age 7 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Refreshments will be served.

Playing chess can help kids improve their concentration, memory, and problem solving skills. Boys and girls of all ages and skill levels are welcome to attend these monthly sessions. Attendees can play just for the fun of it, or hone their skills courtesy of chess mentor Andy Catlin.
