Lost Boat Ceremony in Muskegon at USS Silversides Museum

On Sunday, May 24, 2015, the USS Silversides Submarine Museum will hold the 29th Annual Lost Boat Ceremony to honor the 52 USN submarines that were lost during WW11 and the over 3500 men who are still on “eternal patrol.”

The ceremony will begin at 11:00am with a fly over by a local warbird group, The Hooligans. The keynote address will be delivered by Captain Michael B. Ryan, commanding officer and professor of Naval Science at the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps Unit at the University of Notre Dame. The ceremony concludes with the starting of the Silversides’ engines.

You are invited to a free lunch following the ceremony and will have time to explore the museum and vessels at no charge up until 1:00pm.
