Friends of Spring Lake District Library annual Summer Book Sale

SPRING LAKE, Mich.-- Reel in the bargains on gently used books during the upcoming Friends of Spring Lake District Library book sale.

A wide selection of used books, audio books, DVDs and videos can be found at the annual summer sale, which is held in conjunction with the Spring Lake Heritage Festival. The sale will take place at the Spring Lake District Library on the following dates:

  • Thursday, June 13:  5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  •  Friday, June 14: 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Saturday, June 15: 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Don't miss this opportunity to add titles to your home library for a fraction of what it would cost to purchase new books. Children’s books will be available for $0.10 to $0.50 each. Paperback books will be sold for $0.50. There will be a generous selection of paperback romance novels available for $0.25 as well.  Hardcover editions will sell for $1, and DVDs, videos, and music cassettes are priced at $0.50 each. Beginning Friday at 1 p.m. the bargain prices will be reduced by an additional 50 percent. The proceeds from the book sale are used to support library programs and services.

The Friends of SLDL are also planning for future fundraising events and are requesting donations of the following items: children’s toys and clothing (size 6 and smaller), jewelry, sporting goods, small tools, kitchen items, décor, and new crafts. Please, no large appliances or equipment, furniture, or adult clothing.  Items may be dropped off at the library along with book donations.
