SPRING LAKE, Mich.--Astronomy enthusiasts are invited to the Spring Lake District Library on Thursday, July 18, at 7:00 p.m. for a guided tour of the night skies this summer.

The guest speaker will be Grand Valley State University Physics Professor, Dr. Doug Furton. During his presentation, Dr. Furton will show attendees how to make simple devices to predict the rising and setting of the sun, moon and stars – no batteries required.

Astronomy is growing in popularity as new data is gathered about the universe to answer the question 'What's out there?'  Don't miss this opportunity to talk with an expert on the latest astronomical finds.

Adults and students in middle school and older are invited to attend this fun and informative presentation. For more information, call the library at (616) 846-5770, ext. 107.  The library is located at 123 E. Exchange Street in Spring Lake.
