Winning Rocket Fish named during ArtWalk

GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (WZZM)- Grand Haven’s ArtWalk is underway this weekend.

Saturday, participants picked the city’s winning Rocket Fish. Ray’s Drive-In took the title, with 131 of the 700 total votes. The restaurant’s six foot fish is seen gobbling up a burger while holding a soft drink.

Brooke Pitsch won the smaller scale, minnow category with a two foot fish covered in household hardware.

The Rocket Fish invasion began in May as a way to attract attention to Grand Haven’s ArtWalk. Business owners say it’s also a fun way to unite the town.
