WZZM13 is proud to present our second 'Post the Most' contest ... post the most stories to our My Town community websites over the next five days and win a fabulous prize!

The Community Content Provider (CCP) who posts the most stories to My Town over the next week, wins a prize. It's that simple. This offer applies to all existing CCPs, and to all the new CCPs we're hoping to sign up.

If you'd like to become a My Town CCP, just send your name and brief explanation of why you think you should be a CCP in an email to cmorse@wzzm13.com and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. For more information on becoming a CCP visit www.wzzm13.com/mytown.

The contest starts on Monday, June 27, 2011. Winners will be selected based on the number of stories approved and published by the end of the day on Sunday, July 3, 2011.

Our team of citizen journalists are able to post news reports from their communities, important bulletins, event announcements, commentary, reviews, photos and videos -- directly to their community’s website where that news is viewed and shared by thousands of visitors to wzzm13.com.

My Town ‘Post the Most’ Sweepstakes

 

OFFICIAL RULES

 

1.         NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR TO WIN.  A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR ODDS OF WINNING.  SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS.  VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

 

2.         Eligibility.  Subject to the additional restrictions below, the “My Town Post the Most” Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open to residents of the following counties who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry and who are approved My Town Community Content Providers (CCPs) at the time of entry: Allegan, Ionia, Kent, Montcalm, Muskegon and Ottawa.  Employees of WZZM-TV, (“Sponsor”), Gannett Co., Inc., Datasphere, Muskegon Summer Celebration, and each of their respective affiliated companies, and advertising and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of, and any persons domiciled with, any such employees, are not eligible to enter or to win. 

 

3.         How To Enter.  The Sweepstakes will begin at 12:01 a.m. (E.T.) on Monday, June 27, 2011 and end at 11:59 p.m. (E.T.) on Sunday, July 3, 2011 (the “Sweepstakes Period”). 

 

To enter, you must be an approved Community Content Providers, visit http://wzzm13.com/My Town during the Sweepstakes Period, select their community.  Posts must be (a) at least one sentence consisting of at least ten (10) words; (b) contain content that is entrant’s original composition; (c) contribute to the neighborhood on Sponsor’s “My Town” website; (d) be in keeping with the standards of http://wzzm13.com/My Town; and (e) describe a community activity, interest or event.  One-word posts and posts that serve to promote a personal or business endeavor will not be accepted and will be disqualified.  

If you are not an approved Community Content Providers at the time of entry, send an email to mytown@wzzm13.com or call (616) 559-1446.  Entrants may not “spam” other users to increase the post count.  Posts which do not adhere to Sponsor’s Terms of Service or guidelines stated in “Around Town” on the Sponsor’s website are subject to removal by Sponsor’s site administrator.   There is no limit on the number of entries that may be submitted by one contestant but entries and posts submitted by the same contestant under different user accounts will be disqualified.  Posts which do not adhere to Sponsor’s Terms of Service or guidelines stated in “My Town” on the Sponsor’s website are subject to removal by Sponsor’s site administrator.   There is no limit on the number of entries that may be submitted by one contestant but entries and posts submitted by the same contestant under different user accounts will be disqualified.  Your computer must accept cookies, or any successor or similar technology, which may be used for the purpose of entry tracking. Ad blocking software on your computer needs to be disabled so that it doesn’t interfere with processing your entry.
 

Contestants acknowledge and agree that Sponsor shall have the right to edit, adapt, modify, reproduce, publish, promote, create a sound recording of, broadcast, or otherwise display or use entries in any way it sees fit without limitation or compensation to entrants. Sponsor further reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is alleged to infringe on any third-party’s intellectual property rights, or that Sponsor deems obscene, offensive or otherwise inappropriate for viewing by a general audience. By entering, you agree to the terms of these Official Rules and to receive e-mails from Sponsor or those directed by Sponsor.  You can opt-out of the receipt of such e-mails by following the directions on the Sweepstakes website or in any email received from Sponsor. 

 

You may enter the Sweepstakes as often as you like but only one (1) prize per person.  Multiple entries by means of software generated or other automated processes will be disregarded.  Sponsor will not be responsible for incomplete, lost, late, misdirected or illegible entries.  All entries become property of Sponsor and none will be returned. 

 

4.         Winner Selection.  On or about July 5, 2011, two (2) prize winners will be selected based on the two entrants who submitted the most approved posts that comply with the criteria stated in these Rules.  The entrant who submitted the most posts will win the First Prize, the entrant who submitted the next most posts will win the Second Prize. In the event of a tie among any of the categories, the winner will be selected by Sponsor in a random drawing from among the tied entries. 

 

5.         Prizes and Odds.   First Prize: first choice of two (2) tickets to Muskegon Summer Celebration, located at 587 West Western, Muskegon, Michigan, valid for the date specifically listed on the ticket (ARV: $130 for the 2-pack) First prize winner can choose between Goo Goo Dolls & Michelle Branch on Thursday, July 7, 2011 or Cinderella & Jackyl on Friday, July 8, 2011. Second Prize: remaining two (2) tickets to Muskegon Summer Celebration, located at 587 West Western, Muskegon, Michigan, valid for the date specifically listed on the ticket (ARV: $130 for the 2-pack). Sponsor is not responsible for changes in Muskegon Summer Celebration performance dates, times or event cancellation.

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

 

6.         Winner Notification and Acceptance.

Winners will be notified by the email address provided on his/her entry on or about Tuesday, July 5, 2011.  Winner must respond to the email notification within 48 hours.  Failure to respond within such time period or return of the email as undeliverable may result in disqualification of the winner, forfeiture of his/her interest in all prizes, and selection of a substitute winner from among all remaining eligible entries. To claim the prize, each winner must personally visit the Sponsor’s offices, at 645 - 3 Mile Road, Grand Rapids, MI 49544, between 8:00 a.m. (E.T.) and 4:00 p.m. (E.T.) weekdays, and a valid photo identification may be required to be presented. Winners may waive their right to receive prizes.  Prizes are nonassignable and nontransferable.  No substitutions allowed by winner.  Prizes and individual components of prize packages are subject to availability and Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value.  Winners are solely responsible for reporting and payment of any taxes on prizes.  Winners may be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility/liability and publicity release (except where prohibited by law) which must be returned as directed by Sponsor.  Failure to sign and return the affidavit or release, or to comply with any term or condition of these Official Rules, may result in a winner’s disqualification, the forfeiture of his or her interest in the prize, and the award of the prize to a substitute winner.  Except where prohibited, acceptance of any prize constitutes winner’s consent to the publication of his or her name, biographical information and likeness in any media for any commercial or promotional purpose, without limitation the Internet, or further compensation.  Prizes not won and claimed by eligible winners in accordance with these Official Rules will not be awarded and will remain the property of Sponsor. 

 

7.         Participation.  By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor.  Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify persons found tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this Sweepstakes as solely determined by Sponsor.  In the event the Sweepstakes is compromised by [if Internet entry is permitted, insert:  “a virus, non-authorized human intervention,”] tampering or other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor which corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Sweepstakes.  Should the Sweepstakes be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, Sponsor reserves the right to award prizes based on the entries received before the termination date.  Sponsors will not be responsible for incomplete, lost, late, postage-due, misdirected or illegible entries (either photos or ballots), poor quality photos, or for failure to receive entries or votes or other electronic communications due to transmission failures or technical failures of any kind, including, without limitation, malfunctioning of any network, hardware or software, whether originating with sender or Sponsor.  In the event of a dispute, all online entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the owner of the ISP account from which they were sent.  For these purposes, an ISP account holder shall mean the natural person assigned to such ISP account by the Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning ISP addresses for the domain associated with such ISP account.  Any questions regarding the number of entries or votes submitted by the owner of an ISP account shall be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion.

 

8.         Construction. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision.  In the event that any such provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, these rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein.

 

9.         Copyright.  By entering the Sweepstakes, each contestant grants to Sponsor an exclusive, royalty-free and irrevocable right and license to publish, print, edit or otherwise use the contestant’s submitted entry, in whole or in part, for any purpose and in any manner or media (including, without limitation, the Internet) throughout the world in perpetuity, and to license others to do so, all without limitation or further compensation.  Each contestant further agrees that if his/her entry is selected by Sponsor as the winning entry, he/she will sign any additional license or release that Sponsors may require, and will not publicly perform or display his or her submission without the express permission of Sponsor.
