GRAND HAVEN, Mich.—Criminals beware; one of the sharpest shooters in the world is right is right here in Grand Haven, serving as a public safety officer.

Dave Scott is the National Skeet Shooting Association’s current world champion, after posting a perfect score and winning a 7.5 round tiebreaker late last year.

Scott has been honing his passion since high school.  He previously won ten state championships, and has consistently ranked among the world’s best skeet shooters.  He’s also been on the all-state team every year since 2004 and been an all-American for the past five years.

In November, the Grand Haven City Council recognized Scott’s accomplishments with a congratulatory resolution signed by the mayor.
