Grand Haven businesses team up for "Occupy Small Street"

Grand Haven, Michigan - Meg Lawton of West Michigan Company Soulseeds (www.soulseeds.com), has begun a campaign called "Occupy Small Street". She encourages everyone to support small independent businesses this holiday season. Meg Lawton believes we should get off Wall Street and put our money where our mouths are by shopping back on "Small" Street.

Lawton commented, "My heart breaks when I drive past closed family-owned retail shops. I imagine all the shattered hopes and financial stresses of the individuals involved and wish our communities could support them more. Just by being a little more mindful of where we spend our money we can help our communities grow."
