Free Screening of POV Documentary: The Edge of Dreaming

Spring Lake, MI--Spring Lake District Library is exploring the mysterious world of dreams in February. The library is hosting a free screening of the POV documentary The Edge of Dreaming on Tuesday, Feb. 1 at 7:00 p.m.  This film was made by Scottish filmmaker Amy Hardie whose specialty is science documentaries. In The Edge of Dreaming she utilizes these skills to delve into the realm of dreams and the subconscious after experiencing increasingly urgent dreams foretelling her impending death. Hardie consults with neuroscientists and a shaman during the course of her one-year investigation into the power of dreams.

This event is a collaboration with POV, the award-winning independent non-fiction film series on PBS. Visit www.pbs.org/pov for more information about this documentary.

When should you take your dreams at face value and when might they be trying to communicate an important message?
