Native American Dance Performances at Spring Lake and Loutit Libraries

Spring Lake, MI- Spring Lake District Library and Loutit District Library will be hosting traditional Native American dancers presented by the Nokomis Learning Center as part of the summer reading program, One World Many Stories.  Children will learn how traditional Native Americans dressed as well as the meaning of what they wore and the differences in dance between men and women.  Children will also be invited throughout the show to participate and experience a variety of traditional dances. 

The dancing will begin at the Spring Lake District Library, 123 E. Exchange St., Spring Lake at 10:30 am on Monday, June 20. Loutit District Library, located at 407 Columbus Ave., Grand Haven, will host the program at 2:00 pm on June 20. 

This Summer Reading Program event is a collaborative effort of the Tri-Cities Historical Museum, the Friends of Spring Lake District Library, and the Loutit District Library.
