Talented Student, Rachel Myszak, designs Coopersville C of C Logo | Arts & Culture
Rachel Myszak, a senior in Graphic Design at Coopersville High School, was recently recognized by the Coopersville Chamber of Commerce for her logo design. The logo was designed for the Chamber of Commerce marketing campaign; “Shop, Live, Love, Coopersville.”
This partnership between businesses and the Ottawa Area schools and the Community, is an initiative for “Doing More Together” and will offer more educational opportunities for area students.
Rachel states, “My first graphic design class in high school opened my eyes to design and my passion for it. Creating art is a personal process and knowing that people enjoy the completed piece in rewarding.”
“The Art Department is amazing at our high school, it always has been,” stated Rose Zainea-Wieten, executive director of the Coopersville Chamber of Commerce. “Rachel is an amazing young lady. We are proud not only of our logo, but of Rachel. She is persistent, determined and obviously a motivated young artist.” Rachel worked with her teacher, Katelyn Ysquierdo and Rose Bainea-Wieten to finalize her design and was congratulated at the Chamber’s Annual Business Meeting, where the program was launched among members. Each member received a reusable shopping bag featuring Rachel’s design.
Rachel is planning to pursue an art career and is scheduled to begin her studies in college next fall. Her teacher, Katelyn, said, “She has beautiful talents and a heart of passion for the arts.”
