GRAND HAVEN/SPRING LAKE, Mich.-- CSI fans ages 8 years and up –You won’t want to miss these programs as Forensic Scientist William Grant gives kids the inside scoop on how crime is solved. 

Grant will present his programs on June 17 at the Spring Lake District Library, 123 E. Exchange Street, at 1 p.m. The program will be repeated at the Loutit District Library at 3:30 p.m. This Summer Reading Club event is a collaborative effort of the Spring Lake and Loutit District Libraries, and the Tri-Cities Historical Museum. Tales of a Bone Digger is funded by the Grand Haven Area Community Foundation Youth Advisory Council. Grant provides forensic anthropological assistance to local law enforcement agencies and county medical examiner systems, including search and recovery of human remains and skeletal analysis/identification. In addition, as information resource manager he serves as the case file coordinator, managing all aspects of cases to include medical literature reviews; case-related FDA database searches and summaries; deposition summaries; Bates document organization, searching, and extraction of relevant information; support with engineering reports including report initiation and editing/proofing to assist associate experts with proper basis of opinions. He is also responsible for handling of case-related evidence and ensures proper chain-of-custody procedures are maintained.
