Learn about Venture Capital Fund at Spring Lake District Library

SPRING LAKE -- The Michigan Accelerator Fund is a newly chartered venture capital fund dedicated to investing in Michigan-based early stage companies in the life sciences, homeland security, alternative energy, and advance manufacturing sectors. Spring Lake District Library will be hosting a free presentation on Thursday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. about the venture capital fund. Guest speaker Dale Grogan of The Charter Group will share information and answer audience questions about the fund which was recently awarded “Deal Of  The Year,” by West Michigan Business Review.

Grogan along with John Kerschen of The Charter Group, a merger and acquisition advisory company based in Grand Rapids, are managing the $10 million fund. The fund will also provide capital for a number of programs including mentoring and student internship programs aimed at enhancing support infrastructure for developing companies.
